Our Story

Founded by a Registered Nurse with a simple mission.

Beteseb Care was founded by Abel Mekuaninte, Registered Nurse, after seeing how many families struggled to find care that respected their language, culture, and family values.

Our mission is simple: help Calgary families access personalized care that feels familiar, respectful, and supportive.

Beteseb means “family” in Amharic.

That belief guides everything we do—providing care that respects each family’s language, culture, traditions, and values.

The Beteseb Care Match

A Caregiver Who Understands Your World.

We do not dispatch random employees. We intentionally match caregivers based on language, culture, traditions, and family values.

Language Fluency

We match on the specific language — and dialect — that makes you comfortable and confident.

Cultural Traditions

Food, prayer, customs, and daily rhythms — your caregiver understands these as part of care, not obstacles to it.

Family Values

We match on family dynamics, lifestyle preferences, and the expectations that matter most to your household.
